Birds of a Feather

Are you interested in identifying birds? You are not alone!

Join us for a relaxing and casual birding session right along the river! Bring a chair, soak your feet in the river, and help us to ID as many different bird species as we can. We'll have binoculars to loan and we'll keep track of every species we see together. Then we'll upload that data to an online database to help researchers understand the range of certain species as well as how healthy their populations are! If you don't know any birds, no problem! We'll show you how we are identifying them, and how you can learn more about the birds in your area too!

• Meet us at Trammell Crossing to join in! (1/2 mile from the campground, 3/4 mile from the picnic area.)
• Trail does have some steep terrain, and a mix of rocky and grassy trail.
• No extra fees to attend, normal entrance fees required to enter the park.
• We'll start at 8:30am and leave around 10:30am, feel free to come by anytime during that window!
